Conference sets
Conference stage sets can be designed and created in a multitude of forms. The planning should start with careful consideration of the venue size and audience capacity. Based on these factors, the heights, widths, and sizes of projection and LED video wall apertures can be easily accommodated using our extensive selection of set flats. Set colours can be introduced by covering the flats in fabric or by using stage lighting for added interest.

If a simpler solution is required, we offer stage sets and backdrop flats for dry hire or with complete installation and removal services. we have a selection of off the shelf backdrops and conference sets that we can supply, which we can customise with your event theme and branding. What is stage set and design?
Stage set and design is the creation and build of the physical stage, backdrops and scenic elements that frame your event, making sure they are scaled to the venue, audience size and style of presentations. Our team at EMS Events provides stage set design and construction services, as well as off-the-shelf conference sets and backdrops that can be customised to your branding.
Do you offer fully bespoke stage sets or just standard packages?
Yes, we supply both. You can choose from proven “off-the-shelf” designs or get a fully bespoke set personalised to your brand, event theme and venue.
Can you work from our designer’s 3D visuals or brand guidelines?
Yes. We can build from your existing designs or start from a blank page using your brand guidelines, fonts and colours to create something unique.
What materials do you use for stage sets?
We typically use a mix of timber, flats, fabric, printed panels, integrated screens and scenic elements chosen for safety, durability and finish. We’ll balance visual impact with budget and venue restrictions.
How do you make sure the set fits the venue safely?
We check detailed venue measurements, rigging points, fire routes and maximum heights before finalising drawings. Our crew installs and secures everything according to current health and safety standards.
Can you integrate LED screens, projection & lighting into the set?
Yes, our stage sets are designed with AV in mind from the start. We will suggest positions for LED walls, projection surfaces, comfort monitors and lighting so the set works both in-room and on camera.
How long does it take to design and build a stage set?
Simple conference sets can be turned around in a couple of weeks; complex bespoke builds require more lead time. As a rule, the earlier we start, the more options we have.
